Oregon Wine Country Gets Some Love

Alt textWe love Oregon. When many others have abandoned the state for drier, warmer, or more business-friendly, we stay put. We Voodoo donuts, we like dodging the bikes in and out of Portland traffic, being green(-ish) to the point of religious fervor, doing business in a coffee-shop, and until recently, having a shared political leadership at the Legislature. But there is one thing that just captivates our hearts like no other to come from our beloved state, and that is simply that we produce some of the highest quality wines in the world. We love it so much that we have shaped our firm to be a leading industry provider of CPA, accounting, and legal services to local Oregon wineries, vintners, and vineyards—and business is BOOMING!

So you can imagine how we leapt for joy when we heard earlier this summer that the wine industry here in Oregon was sponsoring its own license plate! It was like we were 7 years old and it was Christmas morning, we were so excited. (Sen. Jackie Winters, you’ve got a smooch on the cheek coming! You too, Sen. Cameron!)

The plate design still needs to be approved by DMV and Oregon State Police (or some law enforcement commission), but the wine industry is actually footing the bill for the design and manufacture of the plates. It only seems right then, that Oregon’s Wine Commission receive the $30 a plate proceeds to benefit Oregon’s Wine Industry. The biggest benefit, however, is that these plates will promote tourism—especially as these plates make their way around neighboring states (we’re thinking California, here).

So we encourage you one and all to show your support of our own world-class wine producing industry by purchasing a “Wine Country” license plate for all of your vehicles. Heck, we’re so excited, we are encouraging you to buy another car just so you can display that plate even more!
